Oracle beats Pharex for PBL championship

ORACLE Residences banked on Mark Barroca’s eight free throws in the last 1:42 seconds to beat Pharex, 82-69, Thursday and capture the 2009 Philippine Basketball League PG Flex Unity Cup championship at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Even as Oracle was leading all throughout the match, they had to overcome a big scare when the Bidang Generix moved to within four points, 67-71, with only 2:50 remaining in the match.
