Court of Appeals grants amparo to Gadian |

THE Court of Appeals (CA) granted the writ of amparo petition filed
by Navy Lt. Sr. Grade Mary Nancy Gadian, the whistleblower in the
alleged misuse of the funds allocated for the 2007 Balikatan
exercises on Tuesday.
The CA’s Ninth Division, in a decision penned
by Associate Justice Sixto Marella, said it is convinced of the
serious threat on the life and security of Gadian. It ordered
Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. to provide protection to
Gadian.
