MILF attackers kill bodyguard, injure town councilor, two others |

COTABATO CITY: A municipal councilor and two others were wounded
while his bodyguard died on the spot when an undetermined number of
suspected Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels staged an
ambush in South Upi, Maguindanao on Monday morning.
Lt. Col. Jonathan Ponce, spokesman of the
Army’s 6th Infantry Division (6ID) based in Camp Siongco, Awang,
Maguindanao, on Tuesday identified the wounded as Councilor Jordan
Ibrahim of South Upi town. Samin Ibrahim and Kadil Kausin who
accompanied the councilor were also wounded.
