IN the last two decades, our political parties or political
coalitions have breezed through elections without clear cut,
singular platforms to distinguish one group from the other. They
have survived elections without, first, adopting a political or
economic philosophy of governance and, second, espousing a platform
of government that spells out their roadmap to nation building,
their vision of the future and that offers genuine alternatives to
guide voters on election day.
