MILF attack in Sultan Kudarat hurts five

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Rebels from the separatist Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) attacked a village in Sultan Kudarat, wounding five people as fighting continue in the troubled region of Mindanao, officials said.

Col. Jonathan Ponce, spokesperson for the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said Moro rebels fired three rounds of mortars on Tuesday afternoon at the detachment of the Citizens’ Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) in the village of Santa Clara in Kalamansig town of Sultan Kudarat.
