Abu Sayyaf demands ransom anew

Senator Gordon says terror group asks for ‘ridiculous’ amount for Vagni’s release


The Abu Sayyaf Group has made a fresh ransom demand for the release of Italian hostage Eugenio Vagni, the local Red Cross chief said Thursday.

“I learnt that they are now demanding a ransom,” said Philippine National Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon, who is also a senator, citing a source he refused to name.
