Military tags MILF in mortar 
attacks on Maguindanao

ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Philippine Army on Friday has linked Moro rebels in separate mortar attacks that killed a civilian in Maguindanao province.Lt. Col. Jonathan Ponce, spokesman of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, identified the lone fatality as Guiaria Enok, 41, while another relative, Vanessa Enok, 27, was injured in the attack late Wednesday in the village of Binangga.

The mortar shell landed in a house near the town of Guindulungan where security forces are battling Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels according to a report by television network ABS-CBN. The victim’s sister blamed the military for the attack.
