Grand slam champion Francis Casey
Alcantara and partner Daniel Berta of Sweden thwarted Ben McLachlan
and David McLachlan of New Zealand, 6-3, 6-0, to clinch the boys’
doubles title Saturday in the 20th Mitsubishi-Lancer International
Juniors Championships held at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
Alcantara and Berta won four
break points and smashed eight aces and nine service winners to
finish off the hard-hitting McLachlan siblings in just an hour.
