Annoying allergy

Battling allergic rhinitis during this month of flowers

May is the month of flowers. But while nature is in full bloom, so is the risk of allergy. Pollen is but one of the many airborne particles in the environment. If a person has pollen sensitivity, inhaling pollen could trigger hay fever symptoms or allergic rhinitis.

Allergic rhinitis is characterized by the swelling of the mucous membrane in the nose and sinuses. It may sometime appear like a common cold because a runny nose accompanies it but it is really caused by either allergy or respiratory tract infection.
