Meralco cuts power rates

Billing for May to go down by P0.60 per kWh

The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) announced Tuesday that it would lower electricity rates in time for the May billing period, following a considerable drop in power-generation charges.

From P5.02 per kilowatt-hour in April, Meralco’s bill from its power suppliers went down to P4.42 per kilowatt-hour this month.
