Toshiba’s Computer Systems Division (CSD), a division of Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd and a leading provider of mobile computing solutions, today announced the expansion of its mini notebook range with the Toshiba NB200. The addition of the NB200 expands our product line up to meet the ever-increasing demands of consumers and exemplifies Toshiba’s reputation for quality that they expect and reflects the company’s long history of building mobility platforms.
Combining style and state of the art technology, this 10.1” mini notebook meets consumers’ mobility needs and reflects their modern digital lifestyle. It offers a unique matt finish and compelling pleated textured cover design with a chrome hinge that appeals to the human visual and tactile senses. For initial shipment, the NB200 will be available in this year's most fashionable colors: Satin Brown. Other colors – Snow White, Indigo Blue and Silky Pink – will be added onto the portfolio eventually.

Weighing at only 1.18kg with a 3-cell battery, the super-compact mini notebook features a vivid 10.1-inch diagonal widescreen LED display, full QWERTY raised-tile keyboard and a generous laptop-sized touchpad, making typing and navigating the Web comfortable and typo-free. The NB200 also runs Windows XP, keeping the user experience consistent with their primary PC and enabling simple file synchronization. To enjoy long lasting mobile experience without the need to recharge the battery, up to 4 hours battery life can be achieved with a 3-cell battery, or up to 9 hours with an optional 6-cell battery.

The NB200 is powered by the latest 1.66GHz Intel AtomTM Processor N280 with Intel® 945GSE graphics chipset and comes preloaded with Windows XP Home. Thanks to Bluetooth 2.1 with
EDR, Wifi (802.11 b/g), and 10/100 Ethernet interfaces, the NB200 easily connects with peripherals or Internet access points. Two USB 2.0 ports and a unique USB 2.0 port with Sleep-and-Charge function that enables users to charge portable electronics and mobile phones even when the unit is turned off. Its advanced multimedia and communication capabilities prove that a down-sized Notebook PC can yet be ready for business or multimedia applications.
