Teenagers today tend to live life on the fast
lane. The “what you see is what you get” (or more accurately
“what is marketed to me is what I want to buy”) consumerist
mentality of instant gratification that has overtaken today’s
youth has put even more burden on those who actually earn their
money—the parents.
“You’ll never know the value and worth of
money until you’re the one working for it,” an advise often
dismissed by many youths as guilt-inducing trite yet true lines
often spoken by parents. But there are youth who know exactly what
they are talking about.
