DepEd hit over freight cost, dropout crisis

THE freight cost for the delivery of the controversial noodles for `schools is exceedingly expensive at P3 to P4 compared with the 16 centavos freight cost for textbooks and teachers’ manuals, the whistleblower of the alleged scam said yesterday.

Dennis Quido, sales manager of Kolonwel Trading, told media that the winning bidder Jeverps Manufacturing Corporation quoted “expensive freight service” for shipping.
