By Efren L. Danao, Senior Reporter

Sen. Jamby Madrigal, the complainant in the conflict of interest case against Sen. Manuel Villar Jr., found herself on Tuesday the respondent in a case filed before the Senate Committee on Ethics by former Rep. Gilbert Remulla of Cavite. In a sworn affidavit, Remulla charged that Madrigal had imputed on him nefarious crimes with no basis at all.He cited a recent ABS-CBN interview with Madrigal where she said: “Nagugulat ako kung bakit nakikialam si Gilbert Remulla dito. He will never win in Congress. He’ll never win in the Senate. Corruption king of Cavite, Gilbert Remulla, mahiya ka.”
