A case of LSS |
|
The jingle makers of Hit Productions
|
|
By Rome Jorge, Lifestyle Editor
They are just 15 to 30 seconds long. They
aren’t meant to air for more than the length of a promo or an
advertising campaign. And yet some of the most unforgettable and
endearing music today—those that give listeners a case of LSS
(last song syndrome) to last a lifetime—are commercial jingles.
And for some musicians, they were born for this.
“When I was fooling around with my keyboard in
high school, I was coming up with little 30 seconds snips of music
and I think, ‘Wow, that was cool.’ Then I get bored and moved on
to the next one. I’m not a songwriter. I’m not saying that the
guys who work here are not songwriters. They’re actually damn
good,” attests 37-year-old Victor Raimond Icasas, president of Hit
Productions.

to see Fil-Brit group Firefalldown, but it was quite a trip to see
the new group composed of Yan Yuzon, Pat Tirano, Chad Rialp and
Wendell Garcia.
