Police in hot pursuit of priest killer

‘Task Force Lucero’ created to coordinate all investigative efforts of different law enforcement units

POLICE in Eastern Visayas probing the killing of a Catholic priest on Sunday have organized a high-level investigative body that willlook into the crime.

In a report to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Director General Jesus Verzosa, Chief Supt. Mario San Diego, Regional director of Police Regional Office 8 said a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) has been created to coordinate all efforts of different PNP units involved in the investigation of the shooting of Fr. Cecilio Lucero, Parish Priest of Catubig, Northern Samar on Sunday.
