No Senate probe of feuding sports officials

SEN. Francis “Chiz” Escudero has backtracked on his earlier stand that the Senate investigate the ongoing feud between the Philippine Sports Commission and Philippine Olympic Committee.

Escudero said on Monday he realized that it is not time to conduct a Senate inquiry at this time, because it will only affect the training and morale of the Filipino athletes who will be competing in the 25th Southeast Asian Games in Laos from December 9 to 18.
