DILG raids gaming operation in Legazpi

Mayor Rosal says move legal if Meridien found not authorized to operate outside Cagayan Freeport

LEGAZPI CITY: The strike force of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) raided on Monday morning the allegedly illegal gambling operation of the Cagayan Freeport-based Meridien Vista Gaming Corp. and arrested 31 persons, many of them are barangay officials who acted as “Kabo.”

A certain Police Chief Inspector Hectopher Haloc of the DILG strike force led the raid at the safe house in Guevarra Subdivision here while the remittance of collections was going on.
