A film review of Joyce Bernal’s ‘Kimmy Dora’

As first impressions
go, Kimmy Dora has the undeniable bearing of a typical Filipino
comedy. First off,
it is directed by Joyce Bernal who is a staple
in the mainstream industry. Secondly, it stars the likes of Dingdong
Dantes who is better known for his looks than his acting. And
lastly, it greatly relies on a worn out comedic approach of
slapstick and overly used CGI animations.
