South Korea, US sign $45m weather supercomputer deal

 
South Korea has signed a 45 million dollar deal for a US supercomputer to upgrade the country's weather forecasting system, officials said Wednesday.

The next-generation supercomputer of US firm Cray will replace the current five-year-old system at the weather office in December, they said.
