Bank lending growth slows to single digits amid crisis
|

BANK lending growth slowed to the single digits in July, as
manufacturers and property firms scaled back their borrowings, the
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said.
In a statement, the BSP said growth eased to 8.7
percent from the 14.3-percent expansion in June. At end-July, total
loans outstanding reached P1.930 trillion.
