Napocor officials in the region are hopeful brownouts will be
contained later this month
Rotating brownouts have hit a large swat of Mindanao as six power
plants in the country’s second largest island bogged down.
Four of the facilities are run by state-owned
National Power Corp. (Napocor), which attributed the shutdown of
its plants to a variety of reasons.

P3.7-M fund readied for relief operations in 2 Bataan towns

HERMOSA, Bataan: The provincial government and two municipalities
have set aside P3.7 million from their calamity fund for
distribution of relief goods to 20,000 families or more than 100,000
