Former NBA superstars Robert Horry and Clyde Drexler arrived in Manila Sunday ahead of the NBA preseason game between the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Horry and Drexler will join other ex-NBA stars already in town to drum up the first-ever NBA game in Manila.

Another NBA standout, Ron Harper, kicked off the activities for Manila Global Game by conducting the NBA Cares at Boys Town in Marikina City and joining the NBA Fan Fiesta at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
Jalen Rose will join Harper and Horry in a court appearance today at the San Andres gym in Malate, Manila.

The NBA legends and former players will also conduct a clinic for local coaches
tomorrow at 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Houston Rockets will conduct an NBA  Care Program on Wednesday at the Aurora Quezon Elementary School also in San Andres, Malate.
The Manila Global NBA Game is one of the 10 regular and pre-season games to be held in at least 10 cities in seven countries for the NBA’s 2013-2014 season.
It will be followed by a match between Houston and Indiana in Chinese-Taipei on Oct. 13. The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers will also play in Beijing on Oct. 15 and Shanghai on Oct. 18 in separate NBA Global Games.
The Games will also feature NBA legends Dexter, Horry and Rose, while Muggsy Bogues, Dell Curry (father of Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry) and AC Green will be in Beijing and Shanghai.
Aside from the Philippines, Taipei and China, there will be NBA games in England, Brazil, Mexico and Turkey, the biggest international deployment of NBA teams ever.
This month the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards will all see action in Brazil.

Mexico City will host the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs on
December 4, while the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets play in
London on January 16.
