• NBA raids drug den in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon: A drug den operating right under the nose of a barangay chairman was raided by elements of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in the province on Thursday night in Barangay Mangilag Sur of this town. Initial report by the NBI said the group arrested was led by Alicia Aguilar, 44, resident of the said barangay. The combined illegal drugs confiscated from Aguilar’s house amounted to 20 grams. NBI-Quezon Chief Dominador Villanueva said the bust is a result of a two-week surveillance by his men and was based on an information from a resident of the said barangay. Villanueva added the drug den was right across the barangay hall of Barangay Mangilag Sur and beside the barangay hall is the house of the barangay chairman, Ronilo Garcia. One hour before the NBI raid, Aguilar alleged that her courier, a certain Mildred, collected P100,000 from a sale of illegal drugs. The suspects are now detained at the NBI temporary lock up jail in Lucena City.

this is a very typical story of government officials and law enforcers looking the other way in a very rusty excuse of ” I do not know”

What does the law say about this, to me they an accomplice straight and simple and they should be criminally charged for the crime and administratively charge for dereliction of sworn duty and responsibility.
