NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry will be coming to Manila for a one-day visit on September 5 according to the superstar cager’s latest post in Twitter. Curry powered the Golden State Warriors’ victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Finals.
American sports clothing and accessories company Under Armour will bring Curry to the Philippines through the tour, dubbed The UA Roadshow featuring Stephen Curry, which is designed to connect the NBA star with the people and culture of different countries through up and close personal interactions.
“Together with Under Armour, I’m looking forward to sharing my energy and commitment to basketball with the fans and basketball players in Asia who will leave their mark on the game,” Curry said in an official statement.
Before coming to the Philippines, Curry will start his Asian tour by visiting Tokyo, Japan on September 4. After Manila, he will then head to three locations in China namely Beijing on September 6, Chongqing on September 7 and Shanghai on September 8.
Curry is the latest addition to the list of NBA stars visiting the Country. Indiana Pacers’ Paul George visited in July while Cleveland Cavalier’s LeBron James and Ricky Rubio of Minnesota Timberwolves are scheduled to come this month.
