Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday presented to the media three Chinese members of a “drugs death squad” operating in Manila and Pampanga province.
The three — Shneghua Zhang, Xiang Zhang and Zhi Wen Wang — were known members of a death squad that killed Filipinos who failed to remit their collections from the sale of illegal drugs.
The three were arrested on August 13 in Binondo, Manila.
They were charged with illegal possession of firearms and illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation on August 12, the NBI arrested SPOI Jommel Andador and his companion, Richard Gargallo, in Las Piñas City.
The NBI said Andador helped his fellow police officers at the Southern Police District by providing targets for anti-illegal drugs operations. After every successful operation, Andador would allegedly sell and distribute the seized shabu to regular buyers from Southern Luzon.
Confiscated from Andador were three hand grenades, live ammunition and plastic sachets containing shabu.
