The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) International Organization Division raided a warehouse where expired medicines were stored on Tuesday in Tagaytay City, Cavite. NBI agents armed with search warrants swooped down a pineapple plantation in Tagaytay City and seized hundred boxes of medicines mixed in a warehouse that are ready to be packed and labeled. The boxes contained slimming pills, vitamins, ascorbic acid, glutathione for whitening the skin and male enhancing products. According to lawyer Daniel Daganzo, of the NBI, they found expired medicines that are being re-labeled. He added that the medicines will be brought to the Food and Drug Administration this week for tests. Nino Bautista, a pharmacist and owner of Baron Farmaetici Philippines Inc. where the medicines were discovered, denied the allegations.
