THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday filed a slew of criminal charges against the alleged attackers of actor Vhong Navarro at the Department of Justice.

In a complaint affidavit, the NBI named as principal respondents Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo. Also charged Cornejo’s sister Bernice, Ferdinand Guerrero, Zimmer Rance, an alias Mike, a John and several Peter Does.

The NBI found enough evidence to push for the preliminary investigation of the case after Lee and Cornejo failed to appear before the probers.

They were charged with serious illegal detention, serious physical injuries, grave threats, grave coercion and unlawful arrest.

The NBI used as evidence the testimony made by security guard Lero Garvin, Navarro’s driver Rommel dela Cruz, and the closed-circuit television footage.
