AN alleged human trafficker was arrested while 17 women, including 6 minors, set for overseas deployment were rescued on June 22 by the operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Cavite, the agency said in a statement released on Monday.
NBI Director Dante A. Gierran identified the suspected human trafficker as Simplicio Rigat Punzalan, driver of the recruitment agency, Advance Step International Manpower Services.
