The Department of Justice (DOJ) has stepped into the controversy involving the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) by ordering the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate allegations of kidnapping and grave threat against unnamed officials and members of the religious group.
"I immediately ordered the NBI to verify what is really happening and based on the result of the initial probe, we will know our next step," de Lima said.
