Five suspected human traffickers were arrested after 11 women victims, nine of them minors, were rescue from a prostitution den in Pasay City. Charged for violation of R.A. 9208 or Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 were Nehemiah Jalgado Velasquez alias “Kuya Joey”, Hillary Santos Acosta alias “Violet Sy”, Adrian Rivares Carido, Orlando Baloloy Abarca, and Alex Campita Balane. The victims said they were recruited from the provinces and were promise of modelling jobs. They were allegedly brought to Marbella Condominium along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City they were offered to different men for P15,000 that P6,000 was supposedly for them per client. During the raid last Thursday, agents saw a Toyota Avanza and Hundai Starex cars with plate no. 8, an indication that the cars were owned by politicians. The minors and women were turned over to the Pasay Social Workers.
