LYCEUM of the Philippines and Emilio Aguinaldo College are now regular members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The 91st season of the league is set to start on June 27 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
NCAA Management Committee Chairman Melchor Divina of host Mapua Institute of Technology said that after years of probationary status both the Lyceum Pirates and EAC Generals fulfilled all requirements needed to become regular members of the oldest collegiate league in the country.
“EAC and Lyceum passed the test and are now regular members of the NCAA starting this year,” said Divina.
The Arellano University Chiefs also attained regular NCAA membership last year increasing the NCAA membership to 10 schools. The other members are Mapua Institute of Technology, San Beda College, Jose Rizal University, University of Perpetual Help, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, College of Saint Benilde and San Sebastian College.
