NCAA: Letran outlasts Jose Rizal in overtime to regain solo lead



Colegio de San Juan Letran needed a five-minute
extension to pull off a 69-66 win over Jose Rizal
University on Saturday to regain solo leadership in
NCAA men’s basketball at the San Juan Arena in San Juan City Sunday.
Franz Dysam, Mark Cruz and Raymund Almazan combined for nine points for the Knights in overtime while limiting the Bombers to only six to grab their third straight victory.
Kevin Racal shared the heroic role for Letran by scoring six points in the last three minutes of the regulation period to force the extension.

The Knights were thrilling by 10 points, 44-34, late in the third quarter.
The three-year veteran 6’7 Almazan led the Knights with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks in the game that
resulted to several lead changes and five deadlocks. FRANK CALAPRE
