NCAA reschedules football games

The Final Four games of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 91 football tournament has been moved to January 12, according to tournament officials.

Originally scheduled on January 7, the NCAA management committee has decided to postpone the games following the suspension of classes on January 9 to give way to the Feast of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo.

The games featuring top seed Arellano University and fourth pick Lyceum of the Philippines University, and defending champion and No. 2 San Beda College and No. 3 College of Saint Benilde, will be played on the aforementioned date at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

Arellano scored six straight wins to claim the top spot with 18 points after the elimination round.

San Beda and Benilde were tied at second with 13 points each but the Red Lions grabbed the No. 2 after edging the Blazers in goal difference.

Lyceum grabbed the fourth spot with seven points on two wins, three losses and a draw.

The organizers will employ a round-robin format in the Final Four.
