NCAA: Rookies shine as San Sebastian blasts Emilio Aguinaldo

San Sebastian College trounced Emilio Aguinaldo College, 81-74 , to notch their fourth win in six games in NCAA men’s basketball at the San Juan Arena in San Juan City.

Surprisingly it was a day for the rookies for the Stags as Jaymar Perez, a first year BSBA student from Hong Kong, led San Sebastian’s onslaught with 20 points on top of 15 rebounds and four assists. John Kervin Ortuoste, a freshman BSC student, contributed 16 points.
“It was just good Jovit de la Cruz stepped up and my two rookies delivered, I hope we can sustain our winning form now,” said Stags coach Topex Robinson.
Jan Niccolo Jamon led the Generals with 25 points and six rebounds while Jose Remy Morada put in 13 points.

Emilio Aguinaldo went down to its fifth setback against only one victory, which was at the expense of host and winless St. Benilde Blazers.
