With the Yuletide Season about to go full swing in a few weeks time, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director, Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo Jr., on Friday ordered all police units in the Metropolis to crack down hard on index crimes.
Index crimes include robbery, theft, murder, homicide, physical injury and rape.
“Focus on the reduction of index crime such as robbery, theft, murder, homicide, physical injury and rape in your area of responsibility and ensure its positive result to be felt by the public especially now that we are on the ‘ber’ months,” Garbo stressed.
He also ordered all police chiefs to closely coordinate with their local government units (LGUs).
The NCRPO chief also stressed the importance of proper coordination and cooperation between the police and LGUs.
“Best performing police stations and personnel will surely be rewarded while disciplinary sanctions will be imposed to non-performing police officers,” Garbo concluded. PNA
