By Holy Wednesday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) will go on “red alert”.
This is very timely considering that the Holy Week rush will peak up by then, NDRRMC chair Eduardo Del Rosario stated.
“Red alert” means that a sufficient number of NDRRMC personnel are manning the operation center and prepared to respond immediately for possible contingencies.
Del Rosario said that this status will be in effect until Monday (April 21).
The “red alert” footing covers all member agencies of the NDRRMC which includes the Department of Interior and Local Government, military, and police. (PNA)
