• New Filipino shoe brand takes first steps in int’l market

    Anne-&-Lori20151210With the Philippines’ current fashion market swamped with international brands, an up-and-coming local shoe brand is out to prove that locally made products are at par with imported counterparts.

    It’s called Annie & Lori, and is very proud of its wide selection of high-quality leather sandals that combine class and comfort.

    “Our products are proudly Filipino-made. Every pair of Annie & Lori sandals are carefully and skillfully handcrafted by leather artisans for topnotch and world-class quality,” said Faith Mijares, the brand’s head designer.

    The line’s signature look and features include neutral tones and subtle stitching, which have captured the attention of stylistas like TV host and fashion influencer Kim Jones, new It Girl Kelsey Merritt, celebrity host Bianca King, and beauty blogger/commercial model Valerie Tan.

    Moreover, the shoe scene’s newbie has already become the talk of the local fashion town. Professional Models As sociation of the Philippines (PMAP) member Lou Muñoz said that it’s the perfect pair of shoes for an impressive model-off-duty look.

    Also spotted wearing Annie & Lori bestsellers were models Katarina Rodriguez, Monika Sta. Maria, and Chesca Lagua, and beauty queen Valerie Weignmann.

    Besides stirring up a buzz in the local fashion scene, Annie & Lori, whose pop-up store is located at the second floor of Eastwood Mall in Libis, Quezon City, is also beginning its presence in the international market. Top bloggers from Singapore like Jessica Tham and Kaeting Kikki are among its stylish supporters.
