WITH the resumption of the deployment of household service or domestic workers to Kuwait, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), issued new guidelines that will cover, among others, medical fitness and work readiness.

POEA Memorandum Ciruclar 10 was based on the Agreement on Employment of Domestic Workers between the government of the Philippines and the state of Kuwait, signed on May 11, 2018, and Administrative Order 2514-A by Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd lifting the deployment ban and complying with POEA Governing Board Resolution 2 on the resumption of deployment.
