• New PNU president sought


    MAJORITY of faculty of state-owned Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Manila wanted to replace their president based on a survey conducted by the PNU faculty union last month. Dr. Jose Ocampo, vice president of PNU faculty union, on Wednesday said 86 percent of faculty and administrative staff of the university are urging school’s Board of Regents to end the 4-year term of Dr. Ester Ogena.Among the issues raised against Ogena are faculty and staff mapping, disallowance of healthcard benefit, establishment of the PNU foundation, reduction of extra loads and extra/ overtime pay, failure to allocate a budget for full implementation of national center for teacher education law, questionable admission of Chinese students in the PhD program, procedures in termination of deans/ heads/ directors, faculty/ staff promotion, implementation of the trimester scheme, merging of classes, reduction of freshmen admission and distribution of performance-based bonus.

      Aba’ y nararapat lamang na palitan na ang administrsyon ng Pamantasang Normal ng Pilipinas! Wala namang mabuting naidulot ang administrasyon ni Ogena sa aming mga freahmen kundi pasakit at mga pahirap dahil sa LMS AT TRIMESTER SCHEME!
