THE tropical storm spotted outside the country has slowed down slightly but is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The storm, with international name “Bavi”, was estimated at 2,600 kilometers east of Bicol, carrying maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move west-northwest at 20 kph.
