Spurs edge Heat in Game 1 of NBA title series


The San Antonio Spurs take Game One of the NBS Championship finals with a 92-88 win over defending titlists Miami Heat.

Tony Parker made a stunning banked jumper with just 5 seconds to go to put the Spurs out the Heat’s reach.

The goal put an exclamation point to Parker’s 21 point performance for the night.

Tim Duncan added 20 points and hauled down 10 rebounds.

Lebron James was good for only 18 points, as the Heat faltered in the fourth quarter.

With the win, San Antonio grabbed the Heat’s home court advantage. Game 2 is 8 a.m. Monday, Manila time.
