NGCP commissions new Tarlac transformer


TO address higher demand for electricity in Central Luzon, the National Grid Corp of the Philippines (NGCP) has commissioned the third 100-megavolt ampere (MVA) transformer and power circuit breaker at its Concepcion Substation in Tarlac city. The substation caters to the power transmission needs of the entire province of Tarlac, as well as Nampicuan, Cuyapo, and Zaragoza in Nueva Ecija. It has now has a rated capacity of 300 megavolt ampere (MVA) which can accommodate the average peak load of 60 to 70 megawatts (MW).
