NGCP restores power transmission services

COTABATO CITY: THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has restored its power transmission services in Cotabato City and nearby towns. The line tripped and created a brownout on Tuesday after several unidentified men bombed a tower in Galakit, Pagalungan, Maguindanao. The NGCP described the attack as an isolated incident and assures the public that the grid is intact and still operational. It has also coordinated with the local Police Office to investigate and arrest those behind the incident. NGCP is a privately owned corporation in charge of operating, maintaining, and developing the country’s power grid. It transmits high-voltage electricity through “power superhighways” that include the interconnected system of transmission lines, towers, substations, and related assets.
