NGCP sets 10-hour power interruption in parts of Isabela on Friday

TUGUEGARAO CITY: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled a 10-hour power interruption on Friday in some parts of Isabela Electric Cooperative 1 (ISELCO 1).

NGCP Northern Luzon corporate communications and public affairs officer Lilibeth Gaydowen said the 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. power interruption will affect ISELCO I-Cauayan Substation.

Areas affected by the power interruption include Cauayan City and Luna town in Isabela.

Gaydowen said the power interruption is to accommodate the request of Isabela Biomass Energy Corporation (IBEC) simultaneous with replacement of selected line hardwares along Santiago-Cauayan 69-kilovolt line.

NGCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion and advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruption. PNA

  1. GCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion

Normal operations means blackouts every week here in Bacolod City.

Ceneco can’t go one week without a blackout always doing maintenance but the service never improves.
A triple A rated electric service with a accountant for a General manager and 12 blackouts every month. Been this way for years.
High rates, poor service is normal operations.
