NHA to ASSIST families affected by MRT-7

The government is poised to relocate informal settlers affected by the construction of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Line 7 with the National Housing Authority (NHA) to provide 6,000 housing units in the provinces of Rizal and Bulacan for 160 families that will undergo vetting procedures. The NHA will also give assistance in the right-of-way issues of the MRT-7 stations. The Department of Transportation will provide technical support to the local government of Quezon City in facilitating the relocation. The 22-kilometer rail system will connect North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan and is estimated to serve 420,000 passengers daily. It will have stations at North Avenue, Quezon City Memorial Circle, University Avenue, Tandang Sora, Don Antonio, Batasan, Doña Carmen, Regalado, Mindanao Avenue, Quirino, Sacred Heart, Tala, and San Jose Del Monte.
