NHA officials in ‘hot water’ for threats against urban poor

Lawmakers are poised to investigate complaints against National Housing Authority (NHA) officials. Gabriela Partylist Rep. Luz Ilagan urged the House Committee on Housing and Urban Development to probe complaints on NHA projects in Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, Angeles City, Sta. Maria, and Marilao because NHA officials allegedly threatened to padlock their houses if they fail to pay the monthly amortization on time. Ilagan said loan agreements should be reviewed.
