The return of painter and singer George Sison Tagle to the art scene after a long absence came with a bang, in a seemingly enchanted evening of music and colors .
Aptly called Colors of My Songs, the exhibit was held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in December. It regaled the audience with renditions from international personas from the music world, which included the singing group the Angelos, violinist Merjohn Lagaya and of course the artist himself, Tagle.
As for the art part, Tagle creatively nurtured his subjects from very tiny blooms on fans and purses gradually growing bigger on bags, and further growing into full blown blooms on canvass.
VIPs who graced the exhibit were Dr. Elenita Binay, Wilson Tieng of Solar TV, Rep. Emmie Calixto, Ombudsman Mercy Gutierrez and Atty. Dominador Buhain.
The night ended with guests taking home the flowers on fans, bags, purses and canvas for keeps until only a handful was left.
To George, may you continue to inspire others with your art and music.
Meanwhile, many will agree that choosing the right furniture and accent pieces combined with the clever use of carpets, curtains and mirrors makes the inside of a house picture-perfect but, when the professionals do it, the result is breathtakingly spectacular. The Botanika Nature Residences’ 2BR Deluxe model unit found at the Botanika Sales Atrium is worthy of a photo spread in a design magazine, a seamless picture of design and functionality, thanks to BUDJI+ROYAL Design+Architects.
Botanika Nature Residences is an iconic, low-density, three-tower vertical lush village soon to rise in Filinvest City, Alabang.
