THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced that certain areas of the provinces of Bataan and Batangas will experience power service interruptions that may last up to nine hours today and tomorrow respectively.
The scheduled shutdown in Bataan will affect the areas being serviced by Peninsula Electric Cooperative Inc. (Penelco) from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. especially Dinalupihan town.
“Penelco had requested to replace rotten poles and to give way to a road-widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways along Hermosa-Dinalupihan 69-kV line,” the NGCP said.
Meanwhile, the power outage in Batangas is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and will affect some parts of the province being serviced by the Batangas II Electric Cooperative (BATELEC II).
The power interruption will facilitate the rerouting of the existing power lines within the property of Calamba Park Residences Project Management Group, affecting the Makban-Calamba 69kV Line.
The National Grid assured that normal operations would immediately resume after work completion.
NGCP is advising its customers and the general public to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled power interruptions.
