Some parts of Tarlac and Nueva Ecija will experience nine-hour power interruption on Wednesday (July 15) because of maintenance work.
According to the grid and transmission operator National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP), the power outage will be from 8 am. to 5 pm.
It will cover distribution firms Tarlac I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TARELCO I) and Tarlac Electric Incorporated (TEI).
Among the affected areas are Tarlac City, San Manuel, Moncada, Paniqui, Anao, Gerona, Ramos, Pura, Santa Ignacia, Victoria, San Clemente, Mayantoc, Camiling, San Jose in Tarlac; and Nampicua and Cuyapo in Nueva Ecija.
The power interruption will facilitate the immediate correction of critical hotspot at Concepcion Substation 69-kilovolt Bus A and transformer tiebreaker.
“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion,” said NGCP.
NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruption.
